July Coffee Chat - Melanie Tan

Melanie Tan leads strategy & operations excellence for value-based care programs with an expertise in government sponsored products: MSSP, ACO REACH, MA & SNPs, and Medicaid. What keeps her excited about value-based care being able to implement payment models that transforms the care delivery system to improve coordinated care, enhanced patient experience and reducing waste / costs in the complicated US health care system.

She is currently the Vice President of Strategy & Growth at Medical Home Network, an organization dedicated to transforming care and building healthier communities in the safety net. At MHN, she focuses on Medicare and Medicaid programs for underserved communities through partnerships with Primary Care Associations and Federally Qualified Health Centers. Prior to MHN, she was at Deloitte Consulting, working with large health systems and physician practices across the nation on health care strategy and operations. Melanie is also passionate about nurturing the next generation of healthcare leaders as Adjunct Professor at the University of Illinois Chicago, School of Public Health. She serves on the board of Esperanza Health Center, a large FQHC serving diverse Chicago populations supporting healthy families and dual-eligible senior adults.

Jenny Tsang-Quinn, MD, Senior Vice President of Ambulatory Health Services and Population Health, is a passionate health care leader with expertise in primary care and value-based care models and experience in improving access to healthcare services through optimization of organizational processes and infrastructure. She has held a range of progressive leadership roles at Maimonides, including Senior Vice President of Clinical Effectiveness; Vice President of Clinical Programs, Provider Engagement and Network Development; and Chief of Clinical Services and Clinical Network Development. She has also served as Chief Medical Administrative Officer and SVP of Population Health and Strategy at Rendr, an organization providing primary and multi-specialty care to nearly 200,000 Chinese immigrants and families in New York. During her tenure as the Executive Director of the New York Alliance for Careers in Healthcare, Jenny worked with industry stakeholders to focus on healthcare workforce development. She has been recognized by City and State on its Above and Beyond: Women’s list and Crain’s New York Business as a Notable Woman in Healthcare.
